Dear Member,

Flathead Electric Cooperative Inc. wants your new construction experience to be safe and enjoyable. We are continually looking to improve our processes for you. Our office staff is available by phone Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., so please don’t hesitate to call with questions or comments.

We provide this handbook to our members to assist in acquiring electrical power to your residential property. This should serve as a reference guide for construction and metering standards recognized by your Co-op. It presents information and general specifications about the supply and use of electricity from your Co-op. Adherence to these procedures and standards will promote safe electrical installations and reliable service.

Your Co-op suggests using only qualified electrical and excavation contractors who know and understand Flathead Electric Co-op’s requirements, the National Electric Code (NEC) and the Electric Utility Service Equipment Requirements Committee (EUSERC).

We look forward to assisting you in planning electrical service to your project.

Sincerely,

Stan Pluid
Distribution Design Supervisor
