Bonneville Power Administration’s Administrator and CEO and several other executives spent two days with your Co-op discussing strategies and system planning.

Earlier this spring, Flathead Electric Cooperative (FEC) had the rare occasion to host Bonneville Power Administration’s (BPA’s) Administrator and CEO John Hairston and several other BPA executives.

FEC staff hosted tours around parts of the Co-op’s distribution system for Administrator and CEO John Hairston and a group of BPA executives visiting the Flathead Valley.

Over two days, the group met with members of FEC’s Board of Trustees and General Manager Mark Johnson, as well as trustees and managers of other western Montana co-ops that purchase power from BPA. Flathead Electric was pleased to host area tours and group meetings where co-ops heard from BPA’s leadership team and had a chance to discuss strategies around load growth, system planning, and long-term power contracts, among other topics of high importance to electric co-op rate payers.

Trustees and managers from FEC and other MT co-ops heard from BPA executives and discussed utility and system planning issues during a special visit to Flathead Electric Co-op headquarters.
